About me
I am Ruedi, an electrical engineer from Switzerland and the founder of Kryentech.
Professionally I work in electrical engineering and automation. Alongside my job I develop software and web projects. I am especially interested in language learning, software development, security and technical systems.
With Kryentech I connect these areas: technology, programming and practical applications.
Some of my projects are aimed at language learners, especially for Japanese. Because I am intensively studying Japanese myself, I build tools that make learning simpler and more efficient.
What Kryentech does
Language tools
I develop tools that simplify vocabulary learning with audio.
The Japanese MP3 Generator automatically creates learning MP3s from word lists or sentences. Words and sentences can then be listened to and repeated easily – ideal for learning by listening.
Another project is LingAudia, a tool for creating structured audio learning sets with natural voices.
The focus is on:
- natural pronunciation
- simple creation of learning material
- automated audio learning sets
Technology & security
Alongside language tools I also work on technical projects from different areas:
- software development
- embedded and electrical engineering
- security concepts for digital systems
One example is VisuKey, an experimental project for alternative password systems. It explores new approaches to user authentication that combine security and simple operation.
Projects
Many projects on Kryentech grow out of my own ideas or experiments.
They include, for example:
- software tools
- technical experiments
- learning and language projects
For me, Kryentech is a platform to turn new ideas into reality and connect different technical fields.
